Optional CPD: national recordbreakers

In February 2017, Pepe Anthony and Benjamin Tomlinson competed in the RLSS National Speed Championships, which is the largest competition of its kind in the UK.

The competition see lifesaving athletes aged 12 and upwards, from across the UK and Ireland, competing for national titles in what is the only sport that has a humanitarian foundation.

They both came away with two gold medals and three silver medals, as well as breaking the national record for life saving.

They also broke the eight-year-standing national record for life saving for 12-14 year olds, by one tenth of a second, at 10.28 seconds.
